Maybe go to the Ala Moana Shopping Center?
[ Google Review ] I didn't think I would spend much of my trip going shopping but this open air mall was so much fun to check out. I love the idea of shopping in the outdoor. Ala Moana is known to be the largest open air mall in the world. You get the tropical scenes along with your favorites retail stores. This mall has a few floors and great lounging areas. The weather is always perfect so you can rest at the outdoor areas after shopping. There are also a few food courts around the mall. All great places to grab a meal or desserts. It was not too crowded when I was there, easy to get around. The staff are also very friendly. Whether you're a local or on vacation, everyone comes to this mall. Definitely add this to your list of places to check out in Oahu.
[ Google Review ] Beautiful beach with great views.
Underground cave close to luau. Should be cool to see, but its only safe to go down during low tide + its hard to climb out unless people are there with a ladder lol might be a pass https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLJwSb9olWc [ Google Review ] A very nice area for beach activity and pictures. The cave is a little tricky so be careful when entering. The waves inside are strong so hold onto the ceiling. Overall a cool place for great pictures.

Optional - nearby the snorkel location [ Google Review ] This is a gem hidden away from all of the touristy beaches in Hawaii. Parking was super simple and gaining access to the beach was easy. The sunset was gorgeous and the beach only had a few people on it. Pro tip.....there is a residential building nestled against the mountains within view of the beach. Drive the beautiful road leading to that building before sunset and see peacocks and an awesome display of the sun hitting the mountain.
1.5 miles, has steps and gets a little steep Iconic hike - need to bring water Do ~early morning because Julia has work later https://travelfreak.com/best-hikes-oahu/
https://www.leonardshawaii.com/menu/ Famous for malasadas
Assumes we'll want to in the afternoon after the hike/Julia may or may not be able to join if she has work?
Outrigger Canoe Surfing, looks kind of like the banana boat ride in DR
[ Google Review ] This was a pretty chill beach. Found a spot to park along the street and walked to the shoreline. There were plenty of surfers on the water but it wasn’t crowded. Nice big waves. It got a little busy at sunset but it’s got a fantastic view of it so I understand why. Overall I think this is a great beach to go to if you are not wanting to deal with busy tourist beaches like Waikiki but remember if you go and your not local be respectful since this isn’t a traditional tourist beach it’s mainly locals who all know each other.
Close to Pipeline; can probably skip [ Google Review ] If you love snorkeling at all. You need to stop and explore sharks cove. First off it’s free with a bathroom and showers. The thing I loved about this location is it’s protected from the ocean surf and instead of snorkeling on top of reefs you are going in between small canyons with abundant sea life. I could spend hours here.
Spend most of the day here - Famous Big Rock cliff diving spot
Long hike - 3.5 miles. Maybe skip :(
Drive down to shrimp truck for lunch [ Google Review ] Absolutely delicious. Definitely get the scampi or the hot and spicy. Lemon butter is good but also get the side of the hot sauce. Bring cash since the whole food truck lot is cash only. The lines are long but move relatively quickly. I would recommend 1 person waits in line while the other ventures to the nearby for trucks to try something else.
Close to shrimp truck + best time to see the sea turtles is 11:00 am – 1:00 pm[ Google Review ] We saw turtles and they was great. Parking is scary and it's rocky so wear shoes. Good experience not a great beach for swimming.
Best place to watch the sunset - ~6:40pm
1.8 mile hike [ Google Review ] A medium difficulty hike with a pretty good payoff. Parking will be in the neighborhood and will have no problems as long as you're a good distance away from the drive way and be respectful in the areas you park. The trail has dusty rock so get a good pair of shoes that won't lose grip with loose sand and bring a light in case it gets dark
[ Google Review ] Beautiful beach and surrounding views.
[ Google Review ] Cool place
[ Google Review ] This lookout is definitely worth a stop when driving along O'ahu South Coast thanks to the stunning views on the rugged coastline and the island's extinct volcanoes. I would encourage you to take a short stroll along the coast, whilst being careful not to get too close to the edge of the cliff. I think the best light is in the morning and the earlier you go, the easier it is to park.
[ Google Review ] It's located in the Marina plaza not too far from Koko Head. Plenty of parking in the plaza. The inside is a bit small and it was packed for morning brunch. We were seated shortly after and our waitress was really friendly. We ordered the fresh corned beef hash. It came on a giant plate with two over-easy eggs. The portion was ridiculously big which is why I'm glad we didn't order more food. The hash potatoes were extra crispy and beef was spot on. Lots of flavor that you didn't need a dip. Eggs over-easy was also cooked just right. A great spot to grab brunch in the area or put some protein back in your body after that hike.
Snorkeling site
Option 1
Option 2 1.6 miles and easy; can just be muddy
Option 3 [or after option 2]
