[ Google Review ] Paid for a premium pick up truck, got an older dodge that is full of scratches and dents. Staff at pick up could care less. Told us, take pics, video, do whatever you want then walked away. Paying the price for a premium vehicle, was clearly not what we got. I’ll never rent from Alamo again. First and last time. Includes Global insurance coverage with zero deductible and $35,000 coverage.
[ Google Review ] Good value stay. Prompt check in, clean room, and friendly staffs. Breakfast buffet is included with sufficient options and wide selection of beverage. [ Google Review ] As soon as the doors opened 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour, each person was given a card describing someone who was present at the original Boston tea party. The actors are dressed in colonial attire and are kind, well-mannered, well-informed, and fun! Children as well as adults all seemed to have a great time; there was a great sense of camaraderie is though we were all in on the plot together! I appreciated the blend of hands-on experience, creative presentation and short films. There isn’t a lot to see in the museum in terms of quantity, but I felt I got my money’s worth in terms of the overall experience. I’m glad that I made the time for it. I did also pay just under four dollars for the tea tasting experience, sampling the five types of teas that were tossed overboard that fateful night. I enjoyed the novelty of the tea tasting. [ Google Review ] We visited during the weekend for dinner and the food was very good and had good portion. Starters were awesome - salad, clam chowder, and especially calamari are all great. Also the black bread was freshly baked and so good. Lobster stuffed scrod was nice but not a lot of lobsters inside. Prime rib was also good (it was fatty for some parts but we didn't finish all the fats). Cheesecake was good, and Boston creme pie was just okay for me. Overall very great food! [ Google Review ] We had an awesome 2 night stay. Hotel lobby was a bit hard to find but other than that great place. This hotel is right on the ocean. Rooms extremely clean and beautifully designed. Staff very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was fully stocked for us and Starbucks was located right in the lobby. Had a restaurant/bar that has some amazing food. Shocked by the bad reviews but we would totally stay here again. Great place! Hotel check in: 3:00
[ Google Review ] Beautiful breezy Sunday to walk down the grassy promontory to the lighthouse. Small beach with shells nearby. Historic Salem ship docked there was interesting.
Nice Downtown waterfront with shops and restaurants
View Lighthouse from Sohier Park
[ Google Review ] Even with the construction awesome place to take a hike. Trails are great. Challenging but not hard. The summit is breathtaking. Mountains to the west. Atlantic to the east. Absolutely beautiful. I believe we can drive to the top and see the beautiful 360 View of southern Maine
Marginal Way walkway - Must do! beautiful and Cute town
Touristy - shops
boardwalk and big pier
[ Google Review ] Located walking distance to Pine Point Beach, the bait shed is the perfect place to grab a bite. There’s a small parking lot located parallel to it. There is also scattered street parking. Typically on a busy day, a reservation is highly recommended. However, on a sunny Tuesday afternoon my party of 1 happily sat at the bar area. They have a dock that’s stretched out into the water with many picnic tables and umbrellas. For my meal I opted for the slider sampler and a house margarita. Prices are competitive with seafood in Maine, but well worth it. The sampler I ordered included a lobster roll, clam roll, and shrimp roll. All had Mayo, all were delicious, and all have me wanting more. This place is great! Cool spot to grab a bite, hang with friends, and enjoy the view! Good seafood on small pier
[ Google Review ] Cold and gorgeous, exactly what we were hoping for. This was in June too… awesome, Maine! We’ve never been here before but we’ll definitely be back-- with binoculars or a scope next time because there were so many birds that we couldn’t identify from a distance floating or flying not too far off-shore. We love cold water and we love hearing the loud waves. We just hung out in the rain watching the waves for quite some time (because we wore our waterproof heavy coats.) This place is bonkers beautiful.. please keep it that way!
[ Google Review ] We drove straight there from the airport and when we came in to land we were able to see it from our airplane. It is absolutely beautiful and a must-see while in Portland. There is a polar round loop so if you have people struggling with mobility I recommend dropping them off in the circle. We arrived at about 3pm in the afternoon on a Tuesday and we were able to find plenty of parking. The paths for the most part are easily walkable and wheelchair accessible. The lighthouse was beautiful. You can walk around the area for great views. Some of our best shots were down and to the right. We were there about a week after the peony bushes bloomed. My recommendation would be to try and come late afternoon on a weekday. We paid 7 dollars for 3 hr parking. Be sure to put your ticket in the window.
[ Google Review ] I went to school at SMTC and spent a lot of time exploring the campus and my favorite spot was Spring Point Light. It was a lot of fun being out there after dark back then and watching the lights and boats in the harbor. During the day there were always more people, but still lots of fun seeing the harbor in 360 degrees. On a recent trip we discovered that we can go inside the lighthouse for a small donation, it was well worth the price as I always wondered what was inside. The walk out can be a little tough for some as you have to step over large cracks in the rocks. But if you do make the journey you will not be disappointed with the unique views of the harbor once you reach the end.
[ Google Review ] Absolutely beautiful place to visit. The park is on the smaller side but there is a lot of open greenspace. When we visited, people were walking their dogs, having picnics, walking, and biking. The park has a small paved trail which makes it really easy to walk around. There are a few benches if you want to sit and enjoy the view. The park is easy to get to and there is a good amount of parking. Highly recommend! This was a highlight of our trip to Portland!
[ Google Review ] Probably should make reservations online beforehand, but we did not realize this. They did happen to have an opening when we stopped by to see it and we were able to get a tour. The tour lasted about an hour and we learned lots of history about this cool place that isn’t a lighthouse, but is built and looks like one. Once at the top there are some awesome views of Portland in every direction you look.
[ Google Review ] This hotel is not what I expected. The folks at the front desk where great. Even offered free breakfast. Well there was a catch to that. The elevator was broken. They put us on the first floor thinking they where being nice. It was next to the stairs. Everyone using those stairs sounded like they were in our room. The best part the room had flying bugs in it. Really gross. Check in: 3:00
[ Google Review ] I'm a foodie and love the tastes in different cities and restaurants. Fore Street is unmatched! The cocktails, the food, the service, the attention to detail, the atmosphere is all top notch. I sat at the bar and the bartender was perfect. I told her I had a cows milk allergy and any time I said I wanted a dish she politely stopped me and suggested another I ordered the beet salad, so simple but yet the most delicious I've ever eaten. I then had the duck which was probably the best I've ever had. So delicious. The bartender then gave a suggestive match for wine pairing and it was perfect. Lastly, the salted caramel brownie was to die for. I can't wait to return for something new. It's not always the meal but the service and atmosphere and Fore Street was perfect on all accounts. [ Google Review ] We had an awesome day hiking. The walk to the lighthouse was muddy and had long patches of ice. Micro spikes definitely came in handy. The views along the way are beautiful. When you finally get to the lighthouse you can help to wonder why you don't live there. What a beautiful little spot to spend the afternoon. I will absolutely come back to have a picnic 🙂
[ Google Review ] One of the most adorable and tiny lighthouses I have been to! Basically no walk from the parking lot, though GETTING to the parking lot certainly got more and more challenging. By the end, it is a two-way traffic road that is a bumpy dirt road wide enough for one car. Fortunately it is a short road and worth the drive to see this cute lighthouse.
beautiful coastal town
[ Google Review ] We strolled from town to this picturesque lighthouse. It was a healthy walk past some cute houses and gardens. The lighthouse is adorable. The views, splendid. Such a pretty spot ! Savor the views and soak in the serenity! Week days are best bets for a visit to avoid the crowds. Port clyde village - Lobster and Seafood
[ Google Review ] It's a fairly short walk, .25 mi, from the parking lot to the lighthouse. But be warned, there are quite a few stairs to climb if you want to get up close to the lighthouse. You can view it without climbing the stairs though. There is a small museum and gift shop that was open when we visited on a Thursday afternoon. Expansive views of the bay await you from the grounds surrounding the lighthouse and from the small beach that can be reached by taking the left fork in the path. scenic walk and breakwater path
Cute coastal town consider finding a Schooner Cruise or day sail
[ Google Review ] Super cute place! Owners were very friendly and take pride in their food. They explained that they only get fresh lobster and they use both hard and soft shell lobster. My boyfriend and I sampled quite a few lobster rolls on our trip and this one was certainly at the top of our list!
[ Google Review ] Cathy and Carl are long term innkeepers and it really shows. They start with a brief tour of the house which is like a museum. The room itself (topaz) was clean, spacious, and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was modern and well supplied. The breakfasts were delicious and they were able to accommodate a gluten free diet. They put sherry out for an hour every evening and the entire house gathered one evening. It was really a great stay.
[ Google Review ] The "summer getaway" location in Maine (and the rest of New England). This national park has options for all. From short strolls and horseback riding to photograph and water activities. Recommendation: Plan in advance to secure accommodations outside the park and your "must do" activities. A little bit of preparation will be worth the journey.
[ Google Review ] Hard to find a parking spot. Beautiful town though, lots of hotels, restaurants, and shops. Lots of tourists but still exciting take the scenic drive on Hwy 3 around the area to going to BarHarbor and then Arcadia park >> Download the App > Visitbarharbor.com
[ Google Review ] Thunder hole is a natural cave that traps air when the tide comes in and forces large air bubbles out creating a “ thunder like “ noise that sounds almost like a huge toilet being plunged. It verys based on the tide charts in my opinion >>> the best time to go is about two hours before high tide to hear the best roaring from the water. <<< It offers a nice stair case and tall railings to keep visitors safe during their visit so no need to worry about falling in!

[ Google Review ] Spent 2 days on the island. Acadia National park was beautiful. Loved walking downtown Bar Harbor.
[ Google Review ] 8/12/2022 I was trying different lobster places throughout Maine and I wanted to try one that had been around a long time. Beal’s was a great spot! The view from my seat was fantastic! The lobster roll was delicious and full of lobster meat. I had a blueberry soda with it as well as a slice of blueberry pie. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat. They have fresh lobsters in a tank to choose from when you order. The staff was friendly and service was fast!
[ Google Review ] Get Ready to Scramble. The trail down to the rocks can definitely be slick after rain and is not ADA accessible. Wear good walking shoes and take your time The trail to the right is slightly more accessible but is steep. Fee for Park. Parking is limited but we were able to park at about 6 pm on a Friday.

[ Google Review ] Lackluster due to all modern day elements such as houses, traffic, street signs, etc
[ Google Review ] Sturdy and lovely covered bridge at the south entrance to the main part of town. Appears well maintained, painted a nice red color and includes a pedestrian or bicycle path which is also covered on the north side of the bridge.
[ Google Review ] Loved scouting New Hampshire for covered bridges. The setting here is beautiful.. loved learning about the history. It's fun to make a list and let the hunting begin!
[ Google Review ] Our first time visiting N.H. We drove all the way up from Alabama to see the fall colors. N. H. did not disappoint. We stayed in Bartlett and began exploring the area. Our friends took us to the Swift River Covered Bridge, which had a small parking area right off the road. We worked our way down to the river and walked up and down river to take pictures of the bridge. We are looking forward to exploring more.
[ Google Review ] I don't know why anyone would give this less than a 4 star review. It's old and well taken care of and a short walk from the parking lot. You can even drive over it. This bridge was fun to visit cause there's easy access to the water below. We have seen many bridges and it still amazes me on how they were built. I really like to see the structure inside and see how it's put together. Onion rings.
[ Google Review ] Lower Falls is a beautiful spot to pull off and take in the colors. There are multiple falls to photograph. Trails are well defined and cleared. The parking lot can accommodate approximately 40 cars. There are two bathrooms for use. You will need to arrive very early or late to get into the lot, as its on a two lane road and very popular. If you arrive mid-day especially during the height of the fall colors, its exceptionally crowded and traffic stacks up quickly.
[ Google Review ] Rocky Gorge Scenic Area is a roadside attraction located on the Kancamagus Highway, 8 miles west of Conway, New Hampshire. Rocky Gorge features a 15-foot waterfall, where plenty of rapids along the Swift River narrow into the gorge. Follow the short paved path to a footbridge over a chasm, which provides an excellent view of its powerful rapids and cascades. Just over the bridge and up a short, winding path is peaceful Falls Pond and Lovequist Loop circling the pond (0.7 mi).
[ Google Review ] This place was magical, the hike was short and not too steep, get ready for beauty and a geology lesson. No swimming.
[ Google Review ] Beautiful scenic overlook! Not a 2 minute stop or you don't breathe it all in. Plan to allow down and "smell the roses" here with all your senses. God is amazing!!!
[ Google Review ] We took the gondola to the Summit on Sunday morning for Loon Mtn Ministry's church service. The "Church ticket" is half price, but only available from 10-11am on Sunday morning and only grants you one trip up the gondola as opposed to the all day access the regular ticket is good for. What a beautiful outdoor amphitheater! Also available at the summit is a short self guided nature walk, Lookout tower for unobstructed 360° views, snacks are (with restrooms) and a fun course of boulder caves which my kids LOVE.
[ Google Review ] Amazingly beautiful scenery! My family & I truly enjoyed our hike through the gorge. There's a lot 9f elevation changing over a short distance. So be sure that you're up for it. It'll take between 1.5 to 2 hours to make the hiking loop. Highly recommend!
[ Google Review ] This is such a beautiful place. This is around 1.9 miles hike. (Took us approx 2 hrs total to climb). I loved this place and we even saw Rainbow on that water fall. Hiking trails are full of stones which we need to climb ( small stones) and we even need to cross small area of river but it’s fun to do when we see that beautiful water fall on top ! We loved it and it is free ! Recommend to do this hike separately not on same day with other activities
[ Google Review ] This park is a beauty. There are so many things to do here and one might get too overwhelmed. I suggest the following places: 1. Visit Mt. Washington - There are 3 ways to reach the top: Guided Tours, Cog railway, or your own car. Guided tours are 2 hours from base to base so, it might feel a bit rushed. Visiting with your own car is adventurous - roads get narrower sometimes, and there is no railing, it is a bit challenging but if you're up for it, then definitely do try. It's worth the experience. Cog railway is plain beautiful, you get to enjoy the scenic views without any effort - If driving up with your car is overwhelming, this is definitely the best option. 2. Take a train - Conway Scenic. They do these guided tours and it's just fun in the train. They have trains starting almost every hour until 1 I guess. I'm not sure, but you can check their website. 3. Take the Cannon Mountain tramway at Franconia Notch State Park - it's just fun and has breathtaking views. After taking the tramway, you'll have to hike a little - it's a very small hike probably less than 5 minutes. then, you'll reach a building that's 3 stories high. Take the stairs and you'll reach the top. - That's where it has all those views, They say that on a clear day you can even see Canada. From there, definitely do visit Flume Gorge. Funny story, when we were thinking of visiting places for fall colors, we saw a beautiful scenic water falls sliding across our TV in Fire TV wallpapers, the title said "Avalanche Waterfalls" but when we visited this state park, we couldn't find it. Nobody knew those waterfalls, google maps took us to Flume Gorge and from the pictures hanging outside the Flume Gorge, we realized it's the same. Unfortunately we visited after the closing hour and couldn't see those waterfalls. But I heard it's definitely worth visiting. All in all, NH is a beauty. Always call before visiting these places as they might close during extreme weathers.
[ Google Review ] Hello fellow hikers! I am insearch of this signpost in this picture that was taken of me when I was a kid. I went to Lafayette Campground and started my hiking up to the lake and up another trail head but I did this on my last dayand did not have enough time to search further before I had to pack up and leave. If you know where this is give me a shout-out! I want to find it again, thanks!
[ Google Review ] Stayed here one night during a ski trip while transiting from Vermont resorts to New Hampshire resorts. Great location near the 89/91 junction. We stayed in a king room and it was perfect. I really appreciated the coffee maker, the microwave, and the small refrigerator. I'm usually a Hilton loyalist but staying here made me question that. While there was some minor wear and tear, the rooms and facilities were immaculate and the staff obviously cares about how the hotel looks. I think I'll be looking at more Marriott locations in the future.
[ Google Review ] The bartender made the best old fashioneds we have had in a long time! The brussel sprouts were delicious! Our main courses were just okay but better than most places. The apple crisp we returned because it was burnt but they took it off the bill Reservations made through Open Table
[ Google Review ] Fantastic covered bridge in perfect condition. We are staying right next to the bridge so we can hear the stream babbling it’s way along. A serene tranquil environment to meditate and unwind. Recently rebuilt, the bridge is a testament to Yankee ingenuity and perseverance.
[ Google Review ] Beautiful old covered bridge! This is one of the historical bridges you can drive across. The only thing I wish it had was a plaque with important information like some of the other historical covered bridges have.
[ Google Review ] Absolutely loved our stay!! The service was top notch. Everyone was kind and helpful. Our daughter went down to find some orange juice for us to make a smoothie and a very nice woman gave her a glass free of charge. We were more than willing to pay, but it was much appreciated. Again, our daughter had some leftovers from a lunch we had and wanted to warm the food up. We couldn’t find a microwave and would have accepted “Sorry, we don’t have one.”, but they placed one in the concierge room for her to use. The room was clean and spacious. The lovely woman who offered to clean our room could not have been sweeter when we requested just some towels. We did not need a full service clean. We used the workout room everyday which is also clean and spacious and offered a variety or equipment. We order food twice. A club sandwich that was huge. The turkey was tender and flavorful. The next night a hamburger that was perfectly cooked and so delicious. A really pleasant experience.
[ Google Review ] Our trip is never complete without a visit here. The food comes out fresh, hot and delicious. I always go for the oysters! Chicken francese is a favorite of mine that I can’t get anywhere in Texas. Lobster rolls were cooked perfectly. My daughter loves the salmon and mashed potatoes. Not pictured: wonderful cocktails! A local favorite and always superb service. Contact them by telephone for reservations prior to Saturday 16 July 2023. 250 Pequot Ave. New London, CT 1-860-444-2800 Reservations by phone
[ Google Review ] Always an unforgettable view and ferry ride. In one instance, while an unfortunate clerical error put us on the wrong ferry route, we were thrilled with John’s (the GM) customer service and tip of the hat Madison also for all of her help. Really appreciate how they resolved the issue!
[ Google Review ] I had visited The Vineyards before but this was my first time staying. We recently visited for the weekend. It was a great time!!! First, we did the bus tour and saw the different areas of the island. Then the next few days, we took the local bus. Note about the bus and military fares, we had to purchase the pass at the bus to get the reduced fare. Each person had to show an active duty/veteran ID for the reduced fare. Didn't seem to be applied to the family, which is di, especially for active duty personnel traveling with their family. Oak Bluff was very lively. Lots of restaurants and bars. But as you travel away from there, especially west, I believe, it gets less populated. But it has a vibe for everyone. I definitely enjoyed the trip. We took the Steamship over from Cape Cod. Parking is not available at the port, but if you are not bringing your car, you might want to drop off the family at the port and then take the shuttle back. I think the ride was about 10 minutes from the parking lot where the shuttle is to the port. Also, there are some variety of food options. Juice by the Sea is a cute little vegan restaurant in Oak Bluff, across from the bus tours and next to the laundry mat. It makes a really good avocado toast...yummy!
[ Google Review ] This place was amazing. I stayed here for 3 weeks while recovering from surgery. I had a wheelchair accessible room that was big, bright and airy. It was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was always warm and good. Simple spread, but good quality and tasty. More importantly though, the staff here is PHENOMENAL! I can't say enough about how friendly, welcoming, and attentive they are. Emma, the woman at the front desk would always find a moment to chat if I came downstairs. The manager Sophia was always accommodating and incredibly helpful! The maintenance worker, Dave was always willing to help if I needed anything and would say hi every morning. I could keep going about the rest too, Diane and Lisa and Maia to name a few. If you're in the area, stay here. You won't regret it!
[ Google Review ] My favorite place in Massachusetts (maybe all of New England).
[ Google Review ] This is by far THE BEST whale watching tour I have ever experienced! I expected as a visually impaired person to maybe see a few blobs in the distance. Nope! The whales were right next to the boat. I could see their features from head to tail. To see these beautiful creatures in the wild is a memory I will never forget!
[ Google Review ] HISTORIC INN DELIVERS FANTASTIC DINING EXPERIENCE - dinner for 6 people at the Old Yarmouth Inn recently was such a great experience, set in this building built in the 1600’s, it’s just so cozy and charming. Food was awesome, and worth also noting a very reasonable award wining wine list (read cheap here) as noted by Wine Spectator! FOOD - it’s always a popular spot with locals and visitors, so best to reserve for some sensational high end offerings and specials locally sourced SERVICE - all the staff were great, very attentive, topping up our water, offering refills etc made us feel really at home - so thank you! BOOZE - half the table started with cosmopolitans, and were more than happy with them, wine by glass list is really impressive and I cannot stress how reasonably priced they are, best value I have seen on the cape honestly! AMBIANCE - COZY, CHIC, HISTORIC, just really lovely place to be. recently dined at the Old Yarmouth Inn and I was blown away by the delicious food and attentive service. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. SUMMARY Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at the Old Yarmouth Inn and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service. The inn is a true gem and a must-visit for anyone in the area.
