The water scenery at Ohori Park is symbolized by the three islands in the park’s pond and the four bridges leading to them. There is a garden—a Cultural Property for the residents of the prefecture—that was opened in 1984 by Fukuoka Prefecture to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ohori Park and pass down Japan’s traditional culture to future generations.

[ Google Review ] We went on a weekday and quite early so the wait wasn’t long. Make sure to wear sneakers as some shoes are not allowed because there’s uneven floors. Inside was beautiful and fun. Definitely recommend it

Beppu's "Jigoku Meguri," or "Hell Tour," in Oita Prefecture, Japan, is a unique attraction featuring a series of geothermal hot springs and phenomena known as "hells." Jigoku-mushi' is a cooking method that utilizes the high-temperature steam heat emitted from hot springs. It has been used in Beppu since the Edo period. Ingredients are placed on a sieve and then placed inside a container known as 'Jigoku-mushi-kama,' where steam, reaching temperatures of about 100 degrees Celsius, is released. All that's needed is to cover it with a lid. Because it's steamed rapidly using hot spring steam, the natural flavors of the ingredients are sealed in.

[ Google Review ] One of my favourite trails to hike/walk up even though it is summer season. For the season it was rather cooling despite the heat. The hike up was pleasant and peaceful as well. The waterfall and scenery was beautiful and the crowd wasn't too big at all. Would definitely recommend if you have an off day and nothing to do in Osaka.

【Optional】 [ Google Review ] Lovely shrine tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Osaka. There is a bus that goes to the shrine but there aren’t a lot of times. Make sure to figure out your schedule as you will want to give enough time to explore the area and make it back on the bus or else you will need to call a taxi or take a really long walk.

[ Google Review ] Superb menu and atmosphere. Outstanding service, friendly staff. Washoku (kaiseki) at its best. Dishes prepared with seasonal (fall, in our case) food items. We we fortunate to be served by the proprietress who engaged us in a lively and interesting conversation, explaining the history of the ryokan and restaurant. She then took us on a tour of the facility that was amazing. We arrived early and were sent to a room with a counter and an onsen foot bath while viewing the forest greenery. Reservations are necessary, several months in advance (six months for the fall colors, 紅葉🍁). It was a rainy day and the experience made us feel warm and dry ... until we had to walk back to the Minoo train station, about 10-minutes away.

[ Google Review ] A fantastic little museum about the history of the Sanada clan, famous during the Sengoku Period. Most displays have great English information. There is also an excellent movie about the Sanada, though that is in Japanese only. The 500 yen entrance fee is entirely reasonable. Kudoyama as a whole is worth looking round if you have time going too or from Koyasan.
